As you may be aware ALL PA, Disco, Karaoke and Entertainers equipment must now BY LAW be P.A.T Tested.

    ( If equipment is not tested venues will not allow you to perform as this

    will void any insurance they may hold. )

PAT testing

It is vital to provide a safe electrical environment for your family and friends as well as the staff of the venue where we are entertaining by being PAT tested - failure to comply can result in prosecution to the entertainer and carries a maximum penalty of £5000 and / or up to 6 months imprisonment.

Committing offences defined by the Health Safety at Work Act 1974 can also result in penalties of up to £20000. The Crown Court, however, can impose unlimited fines and imprisonment of up to 2 years.

                        **** PAT TESTING IS ESSENTIAL ****

Most disco's and entertainers do not comply to this so it is worth paying that bit extra for a professional like myself who is covered and also carries public liability insurance for the safety of your family and friends. Nothing could ever replace the loss of a life and we would like to hope and pray we would never need to use this, but do think how you would feel if a light fell off your entertainments set up and seriously injured one of your family or friends and your entertainment had NO COVER.
